If you would’ve told me a year ago that I’d be using AI daily in my learning strategies, I might’ve given you a polite nod and a curious squint, I mean, I barely knew what it was, let along how to make it work for me. But here we are—and wow, what a ride it’s been!

So let me first clear the air: AI isn’t here to take jobs. It’s here to transform them. Now that can be daunting, and for those of us in learning and development, it’s like someone handed us the keys to a faster, more personalized, always-on toolbox. Tools like ChatGPT and generative AI are helping us design content at lightning speed, create learning journeys that adapt to individuals, and analyze data in ways we once only dreamed of (or spent hours slogging through in Excel).

At Cross Creative Minds Consulting, AI is not replacing my skilled human insight—it’s enhancing it! Think of it like this: You still need the talents of an instructional designer to understand your audience, map learning outcomes, and create meaningful experiences. But now that designer has a tireless co-pilot—ready to brainstorm, outline, write first drafts, translate languages, or whip up assessment questions in seconds. That means more time for strategy, creativity, and innovation—the very things that make training truly transformational. I refer to my AI assistant as my FAVORITE work bestie, with motivational insights when I am running out of fuel. She's my work bestie (lol).
